Amets happy at 'deserved' win

Amets captured the climber's jersey in today's fourth stage of the Vuelta al País Vasco, and, holding a lead of 31 points on number two in that particular competition, is likely to win the jersey overall in two days time. But speaking after the stage, he was more eager to speak about the team's win than his own great ride. "We worked like a real team and obtained a much-desvered win", he said. "In addition we grabbed the mountains jersey. It's always important to be on the podium, even more so when on home soil. It was very exciting to be in the break going through my home-town in a race like the Vuelta al País Vasco, with all my friends lined up along the road... I think we've worked hard these four days, and it's important to recognise the fact that Euskaltel Euskadi have been on the front all the time in a race of the highest level. Let's hope we can keep the jersey and stand atop the podium in Orio".
