Madariaga honoured

The great Miguel Madariaga, now president of the Fundación Euskadi, was yesterday awarded a prize by the Diputación Foral de Bizkaia called 'Ilustre de Bizkaia', a prestigious prize handed out to a person who has contributed to the growth and tourism of the Bizkaia region in the Basque Country. Not overly interesting I guess, but still I thought I should let you know.

He thoroughly deserves this.

When you ask people in Europe about the Basque country they will most likely refer to the ETA, but the Euskaltel project is certainly paying of for the Basque country.
